Dear
Friend,
Interesting how we each learn, grow, and evolve differently - at our own pace, and in our own style.
At 39, I've finally discovered that I am a visual learner. Oddly enough, this is
nearly 3 years after I actually wrote content for a piece of visual software.
The good news is that I've learned!
In the past year my preference to talk, write, explain, and draw in pictures has
grown stronger. I've given up on pure linear thinking and allowed myself to
devise plans through association, brainstorming, pictures, colors, and words
(instead of sentences).
Only after the non-linear foundation is in place, I go back and put the
information in a format that is both logical and organized.
This works brilliantly for me, and although I have no statistical measurement,
my productivity AND creativity have soared. (Sorry about the statistics comment,
did I ever mention I have a background in marketing research?)
I devise plans with ease. I hash out half-baked ideas effortlessly. And I have
about as much fun as I have known to have in my 39 years.
This growing realization and appreciation have fueled my desire to work with
people who are also visually inclined. Some of you already know you are, and
others, like myself, may take a few more years (ha) to figure it out.
Join me in a visual journey. Our work together will involve images, pictures,
colors, words, free form association, brainstorming, unique perspectives, being
challenged, inspiration, and fast thinking.
Being able to "see" what you want is an awesome gift! All things are possible to
those who can see the end. Helping you translate what you see in your mind into
what you experience in your life is what I do best.
I invite you to join me in compelling conversations. Remember to bring
along your napkin for doodling. I'll certainly have mine.
